By August 21, 2019Member updates

New website – your feedback

Over the past two weeks, many of you contacted us with feedback on our new website. Thank you for taking the time. On Friday, we sent you an email summary of the main things that came up. We also explained what we’re going to change about the site as a result. If you missed that email, you can read it online here.

New website – individual wine page

The individual wine pages on the new website are now full of useful information. In July, we added charts. Earlier in August, we added a market depth tab, which shows detailed information about list prices, and we added critic scores. To watch our video tour of the page, click here.

We have a number of other additions planned, such as improvements to the search function in September. To offer your feedback and thoughts, use our online form.

The Liv-ex Classification 2019

The Liv-ex Classification has now been published and is available to download in English and French. The Classification is a league table that ranks the wines of the world by their average trade prices on Liv-ex. This year, wines from nine countries qualified for the classification, compared to six in 2017. To download your copy, click here.

Liv-ex in the news

This month, Liv-ex’s very own Jonathan Reeve and Sarah Phillips contributed articles to JancisRobinson.com and Wordonthegrapevine.com. In their articles, Jonathan discusses going sober for 229 days, while Sarah looks into the world of wine on Instagram.

A number of publications covered our Classification report, including Harpers, Barron’s and Wine News Italy, while the drinks business chose to report on the new record high of bids and offers on Liv-ex.

You can also find the top fine wine market news stories on our press page, here.
