By October 10, 2017Member updates

Welcome to the October 2017 Liv-ex newsletter
Releases from Italy, Champagne and the new world occupied the market (and the authors of Liv-ex Insights) in September. While the trade were kept busy with these new vintages, the market dipped: the Liv-ex 1000 index fell for the first time in 22 months.

Liv-ex Team
The Liv-ex logistics team is pleased to welcome Camille Soubeyrand. She will be a dedicated point of contact for our members, on hand to assist with settlement and logistics inquiries. Camille is originally from Provence, France, but recently lived in Denmark where she spent two years studying economics and business. She is interested in art and enjoys travelling.

In focus: Liv-ex for developers
The developers website is your hub for finding out about how Liv-ex’s technical solutions can help your business. It features a range of APIs that enable you to automate processes from price discovery to payment. This month, new bid/offer APIs were added. These allow you to receive alerts about activity on the market within your own systems.

To visit Liv-ex Developers, click here. Your Account Manager will be able to answer any questions about which of the services might be helpful for you.

Updates for international payments
From October 21st, Liv-ex payment details will be changing for international customers paying us in GBP. This is due to a structural reorganisation of our bank, HSBC. The sort code and account number will remain the same, but the SWIFT BIC for the bank, which forms part of the IBAN, is changing from MIDLGB22 to HBUKGB4B.

Payments to the existing details will continue to work until at least the end of the year.

The Liv-ex accounts team will be contacting you directly if you are affected. The new IBAN will appear on our invoices from October 23rd.

Liv-ex in the news
New releases stole headlines in December, with Decanter hailing both Opus One and Masseto 2014 as successes. Meanwhile, the FT (subscription only) looked back at the Bordeaux 2016 campaign. The drinks business was brimming with fine wine market news, covering developments such as Liv-ex’s new liquidity rankings, the Liv-ex 1000’s small decline and a comparison between Dominus and Opus One.

You can find the top fine wine market news stories on our press page, here.
