Du Tertre 2016

Du Tertre 2016 has been released at €29.40 ex-negociant, up 16.6% on 2015 (€25.20). It is being offered by the international trade at £348 per 12×75. In sterling terms, this is a 26.5% increase on last year’s release of £275.

Critical reception for Du Tertre 2016 has been divided. James Suckling awarded the wine 94-95 points and said it was “one of the best Tertres ever”. Neal Martin who scored the wine lower, at 90-92 points, said that Du Tertre “seems to rush out the exit door before you’ve really gotten to know it”.

This price positions the 2016 above the majority of other recent vintages. Buyers looking for value might consider the equally scored 2012, which is available at a 20.4% discount.
