“Vivid and powerful” Haut Bailly 2015 released

Haut Bailly 2015 has been released at €66 per bottle ex-negociant, up 52.8% on the 2014 release price of €43.2. It is being offered by the international trade at £720 per 12×75. This is 71.4% higher than the 2014 (£420).

A number of critics have been positive in their reviews of Haut Bailly 2015. Neal Martin commented that the wine “is up there with the 2009 and 2010 – a bravura Pessac-Léognan destined for long-term ageing.” He awarded it 95-97. James Suckling said the wine is “a vivid and powerful red with lots of bright fruit and spice character.” He gave the wine 98-99 points.

Buyers looking for value may be attracted to the 96-point 2008 that is available at £550, or the 96-point 2012 available at £508. The 96+ point 2005 is available at £775.
