Canon (Saint Emilion) followed Rauzan Segla’s lead, releasing at €38.5 per bottle ex-negociant. It too was up 16.7% on 2013 (€33) and up 5.5% on 2012 (€36.5). With merchants offering the wine at £375 per 12×75, it is not the cheapest vintage on the market but is amongst the highest scoring. According to Neal Martin, the 2014 is “outstanding for the vintage – a sublime Château Canon that might dare rank alongside the 2009 and 2010”.
