Global wine trade predictions for 2024

Every year, we ask our members for their thoughts about the year ahead in the form of a short survey. The following report explores the global wine trade predictions for 2024.

Liv-ex members represent the largest pool of professional fine wine traders in the world and are estimated to account for 90% of fine wine turnover globally. There are currently 620+ members of Liv-ex across 47 countries ranging from start-ups to centuries-old, established wine merchants.

From the challenges they faced in 2023 to the issues affecting the fine wine market in 2024, our survey combines open-ended responses and polls to give an accurate, representative view of where the trade thinks the market is heading. We also invite feedback on the regions most likely to perform well in the year ahead, as well as predictions about the Liv-ex 100’s closing level in December 2024.
