Critics’ scores

Neal Martin (Vinous) has not scored today’s release yet but Antonio Galloni (Vinous) gave it 92-94 points. Galloni claimed that ‘the 2021 Quintus is the most elegant wine I have tasted here, by a wide measure’.

William Kelley (The Wine Advocate) awarded it the same barrel range. In his tasting note, he said that ‘the 2021 Quintus shows considerable promise, displaying more concentration and character than the 2017, combined with appreciably lower alcohol than intervening vintages’.

The wine also received 94-95 points from James Suckling and 94 points from Falstaff.

Fair Value analysis

Buyers looking for value might be interested in the 93-point 2019 and 2014 vintages, which are available for less than today’s release.
