Neal Martin of Vinous awarded the wine 94-96 points, explaining, “there is a sense of completeness to Leoville Barton, certainly on par with the best vintages in the recent years”.

James Suckling awarded 95-96, adding it is “less muscular than the 2018, but very attractive all the same”.

Jean-Marc Quarin awarded a 94. Jane Anson a 96.

Today’s release comes to the market below two wines of similar score, 2016 and 2018. 2015 sits at 1.2% discount to the newest release but has the benefit of an in-bottle score and multiple years of bottle age. Buyers looking for additional value may consider 2014 and 2017, at just one-point shy of the top wines, they sit at a significant discount.
