By August 2, 2018Indices

The Liv-ex 1000 index – the broadest measure of the market – gained 0.7% in July to close on 348.1. This is the new record high for the index, which has risen 5.3% year-to-date.

Within the Liv-ex 1000, both Bordeaux indices and the Rest of the World 50 fell, while all other sub-indices rose. The Burgundy 150 was the best-performing index yet again, rising 3.5%. The Italy 100 also performed well in July and is no longer this year’s worst performer as Liv-ex noted last week.

Over a one-year time frame, the Burgundy 150 has developed a large gap over all other indices, jumping over 23% compared to the market’s rise of 10%.
