Larcis Ducasse has been released at €52.80 per bottle ex-negociant, 15.8% higher than the opening price of the 2015 (€45.60). It is being offered by the international trade for £642 per case, up 33.8% in sterling terms on the 2015 release price of £480 per 12×75.

Critical reception of this year’s vintage has been positive. James Suckling awarded a score of 95-96 points, commenting that the wine has “a density and beauty that seduces you.” Neal Martin scored Larcis Ducasse 93-95 points, noting that it was “one to watch”.

Prices of Larcis Ducasse are closely correlated to critic scores (Wine Advocate). The current vintage is being offered to the market at a price 65% higher than what Liv’ex-s ‘fair-value’ methodology would suggest. Buyers looking for value might be interested in the higher scoring 2012, which can be found at a 40% discount to today’s release price.
