Coutet 2016 has been released at €26.40 per bottle ex-negociant, equal to the release price of the 2015 (€26.40). It is being offered by the international trade at £316 per 12×75. This is 10.8% up on the 2015’s opening price of £285 per 12×75, reflecting Sterling’s current weakness against the Euro. Coutet 2016 is currently being offered at a higher price than most vintages already in the market.

Still, it has received a relatively strong score from James Suckling, who said the wine is “Oily and dense with lots of sliced-cooked-pineapple, honey and light spice character” (94-95). Wine Spectator’s James Molesworth called it “Plump, with a mouthful of tangerine, peach and clementine notes laced with a ginger thread” (92-95).
