Pavie Macquin 2015 joins today’s releases

Pavie Macquin 2015

Pavie Macquin 2015 has been released at €52.8per bottle ex-negociant, up 29.4% on the release of the 2014 (€40.8). It is being offered by the trade at £565 per 12×75, 41.3% higher than the opening price of the 2014 (£400).

This wine has divided critics. Several rated it highly including James Suckling (96-97), Chris Kissack (18-19/20) and James Molesworth (94-97). Others were less generous with their scores, including Tim Atkin (89), Neal Martin (91-93) and Decanter (93).

At this price, it is higher than all of the recent back vintages bar the 2005 and 2010. Will it divide buyers, too?
