Lynch Bages came 20th in this year’s Power 100. When ranked purely by volume traded, it rises to sixth place. It remains a popular name, but between its vintages where does the best value lie?
The chart above compares market prices against points for its ten most recent physical vintages. While 2011 and 2012 – the most recent vintages – are the cheapest, they also have some of the lowest scores. Instead, 2006 and 2008 both stand out: their prices remain amongst the lowest yet they both have relatively strong scores. When describing the 2006, Parker noted: “This classic, powerful, firm Lynch Bages may be as concentrated (if not more so) than the 2005”.
