The Liv-ex Fine Wine 50 Index gained 0.2% after holding steady in September – and Bordeaux’s weekly trade share remained above 80% for the second week in a row.

Buyers appear to be finding value in Bordeaux 2010, which accounted for 26.6% of Bordeaux’s trade share this week. Lynch Bages 2010 (96 RP) was the most traded wine by both value and volume. Released by merchants at £1,220, it last traded at £875 per 12×75.

The First Growths represented 35.7% of all trade by value, with Lafite Rothschild trading the most. Three of the top five wines traded this week (by value) were Premier Crus.

The recently released Taittinger 2006 continued to see good activity this week, and was amongst the top wines traded by volume.
