Issan and Climens 2014 were the first out of the blocks this morning. Issan 2014 released at €30 per bottle ex-negociant, up 13% on 2013 (€26.5) and up 7% on 2012 (€28). Issan was recently thrust into the spotlight when its 2012 was the biggest winner in Parker’s recent report on the Bordeaux 2012s in bottle, climbing from 87-89 in barrel to 95 in bottle. The 2014 looks interesting. With an expected London release price of £295 per 12×75, it is cheaper than all bar the 2011 and 2013.
Climens released this morning at €43.8 per bottle ex-negociant, up 13.5% on 2013 (€38.6) and up 7% on 2012 (€41). Offered in the UK for £425 and with a score of 94-96 from Neal Martin, it also looks favourable against back vintages.
