Margaux followed the leads of Mouton Rothschild and Haut Brion by releasing today at €240 per bottle ex-negociant, the same price as its 2012 and up 11% on its 2013 (€216). It is being offered by UK merchants for £2,320 per 12×75, making it cheaper than all physical vintages bar the 2013. At this price it is 21% cheaper than the 2006 and 2008, slightly below the 25% discount that we highlighted in the Cellar Watch Market Report as being the point at which buyers seem to firmly engage.

Pavillon Rouge, meanwhile, released at €78 per bottle ex-negociant – the same price as Petit Mouton – which is up 8% on both its 2013 and 2012 (€72). With a UK release price of £760 per 12×75 it is 30% cheaper than the 2006 and 19% cheaper than the 2008.
