The latest release from Bordeaux was Gruaud Larose 2014 at €39.5 per bottle ex-negociant. This is up 18% on both 2013 and 2012, which were released at €33.6. Offered in London at £390 per 12×75, the 2014 does not look particularly favourable against older vintages in the market: it is more expensive than the 2004, 2006, 2011, 2012 and 2013, and very close in price to the 2007 and 2008. Its latest offering scores slightly higher than the majority of these, but will it be enough to tempt the end consumer?
