Carmes Haut Brion begins the day’s releases

EP_Carmes Haut Brion

Carmes Haut-Brion started the morning’s releases, coming out at €32.40 per bottle ex-negociant: up 12% on 2013 (€29.4) and up 8% on 2012 (€30). With a UK release price of £315 per 12×75, it is cheaper than the latest two vintages but more expensive than the 2006, 2007 and 2011. Despite good scores from a range of critics – including 92-94 from Jeff Leve and 92-93 from James Suckling – 2006 looks the value bet.
