Along with Duhart Milon, L’Evangile was another key Bordeaux 2014 release today in what has been an otherwise quiet week. At €90 per bottle ex-negociant it was 10% below the release price of the 2012 and 2013 (€100). With UK merchants offering it for £865 per 12×75, it is a similar price to both of these vintages, although better scored. However, buyers looking for value in L’Evangile may do well to look to the 2004, 2006 and 2008, all of which offer similar scores and prices and many years in bottle.
Following several Sauternes releases last week, Rieussec today released at €42 per bottle ex-negociant, down 12.5% on the price of the 2013 (€48).
