La Lagune is the latest Chateau to release after a flurry of releases earlier today. It is being offered at €28.8 per bottle ex-negociant, down 17.2% on 2012 (€34.8) and down 20% on 2011 (€36). (La Lagune did not release any wine in 2013). Currently being offered by UK merchants at £280 per 12×75 – a lower ex-London open price than either the 2011 or 2012 – it is the cheapest vintage on the market. It received 87-90 points from James Molesworth (Wine Spectator), and was awarded 91-92 by James Suckling who noted its “pretty potential”.
