This week saw a new record in the number of active markets on Liv-ex:
there are now over 3,570 wines on the exchange with either a bid or offer
against them. A drop following the En Primeur campaign saw the number fall to 2,800, but as interest in wines beyond Bordeaux has risen so too has the number of wines that traders are actively engaged in. And with the summer now behind us, further vigour has been injected into the market. The question is: will this impact prices?
