Having posted gains for the last two months, the Liv-ex 100
dropped back slightly in October. It fell 1.68 (-0.64%) to end the month at 258.4,
down 9.8% year-on-year. Despite running flat for most of the month, the Liv-ex
50 also ended on a loss, falling 0.44% from September.

Pavie (LWIN 1013850)
continued to experience success on the back of its recent promotion, with two
of its vintages seeing clear positive price moves this month. They were joined
by acclaimed 2009 vintages from two First Growths and an older Petrus (LWIN 10140331995).

Meanwhile Pavie’s sibling Premier Grand Cru Classe A wine, Ausone
(LWIN 10062052000),
was at the bottom of this month’s movers’ table, falling 12.2%. Two wines from
the Left Bank 200, Leoville Poyferre (LWIN 10123872009)
and Palmer (LWIN 10136582005),
also dropped in value, along with the 2002 vintages of Latour (LWIN 10123162002)
and DRC Tache (LWIN 10287042002)
