This week’s most traded brands by value are an interesting mix of Left and Right Bank Bordeaux – and a dash of Sauternes. Buyers continue to look beyond Lafite, with Mouton and Latour heading up the top ten (below). Petrus and Ausone break the Left Bank’s monopoly, whilst Pavillon Rouge sneaks ahead of Lafite into fourth place, having benefited from strong trade in the 2006. Yquem also makes the grade this week. The past few days have seen keen demand for the 1996 vintage, which is currently bid on the exchange at £700 per 6x75cl case.
