Liv-ex Fine Wine 50 outperforms FTSE 100

The Liv-ex Fine Wine 50 is the newest addition to the Liv-ex indices and is composed of the last ten physical First Growth vintages – the most heavily traded commodities in the fine wine market. Despite its “passive” construction, however, the index has outperformed all other Liv-ex indices over the past two years, including the Liv-ex 100. Since the beginning of March, it has also significantly outperformed the FTSE 100 and has shown much lower daily volatility in comparison.

The index closed at 344.16 yesterday – up 0.16 points (0.05%) on the previous day.
