Liv-ex and 2009 Bordeaux

Next week sees the international fine wine trade descend on Bordeaux for the first major tastings of the much-hyped 2009 vintage.

As usual, Liv-ex will be keeping you up-to-date with all the news and views from the tastings and the subsequent en primeur campaign; via this blog, our Twitter feed and the Liv-ex 2009 Bordeaux en primeur pages.

The Liv-ex Bordeaux 2009 en primeur pages allow you to quickly check the key data for all the top wines; such as scores from the top critics and the latest London release prices. You can also find the current list prices, original London release prices and Robert Parker scores for wines from the last five vintages. Registration is necessary to view the full info.

We will once again be running our annual survey, canvassing the views of trade members who attended the en primeur tastings (see last year's here). Details on how to participate will go out to our member companies shortly. As usual, we will be asking our traders to predict the release price of a basket of wines. The participant that gets closest to the total will receive a prize (last year's was a six-pack of the delicious 2004 Haut Bailly).

We will also be posting the latest release prices over on our Twitter feed as soon as they come in.

And, of course, we will be providing a full analysis of the campaign's major stories right here on the blog.
