The Liv-ex 100 Fine Wine Index was up 0.9% to 237.17 in the month to 31 December 2009, taking the full-year rise to 15.7%.
So how does this performance compare with previous years? As you can see below, the index had its fourth best year since its inception – a strong recovery from 2008's losses – and is now just 10% off its all time high. Will 2010 see the index breaking new ground?
