The Liv-ex 100 Fine Wine Index’s 4.6% August increase has attracted widespread attention. It was even discussed in the FT’s influential Lex column on Saturday.
Lex was rather bullish about the market: “While there will always be price anomalies that allow investors to make money out of wine, this bull-run is your classic demand story. Choose the shape you expect the economic recovery to take; then pick your poison.”
