Parker on ’05 and ’07

By May 2, 2008Critic Reviews

Robert Parker released his final in-bottle scores for the 2005 vintage today along with his barrel-tasting of the 2007 vintage – and both sets of results contained a few surprises. Just two wines from the famous 05 vintage were given 100 points, well below expectations, although the scores for the majority of wines were still exceptionally high. Regarding the 2007s, the main cause of disgruntlement was not the low marks (which were expected) but that Parker decided not to give tasting notes, providing just the scores and a broad regional overview.

Below is a taster of his 2005 notes. A full analysis will appear after the bank holiday.

You can also see a selection of his 2007 scores here, alongside those from Suckling and Robinson.
