The 2020 Troplong Mondot has been released for €72 per bottle ex-négociant, up 20% on the 2019 release.

The international trade is offering the wine for £864 per 12×75, 18.2% more than the current Market Price of the 2019.

Critical opinion

Neal Martin awarded the wine 94-96 points. He said, “This is a delicious and characterful Saint-Emilion, fresh and vibrant, that will fill out and gain depth during its barrel maturation.”

Jeb Dunnuck said, “Hats off to the team at Troplong Mondot”, and awarded 96-98 points.

Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW gave 95-97+ points and noted an ABV of 14.5%.

Fair Value

Prices for Troplong Mondot has the highest correlation Wine Advocate scores.

2019 stands alone at 97-points and a better value than all vintages dating back to 2015, including today’s release.

2005 and 2010 are the highest priced wines from the Chateau but fall directly on the Fair Value line due to their above average critic scores.

2008, 2012, 2013, 2018, and 2019 all appear to offer value.
