L’Evangile 2019 released

L’Evangile 2019 has been released at €135 per bottle ex négociant, down 25% on the 2018 release price of €180. The wine is being offered at £1752 per 12×75, a decrease of 22.1% on the 2018 release of £2250 per case.

Jane Anson awarded the wine 98-100, explaining L’Evangile is “one of the very few wines in 2019 that I can say without question approaches a perfect score. I don’t give 100s En Primeur but this is off the scale delicious”.

James Suckling awarded 97-98 points. Slightly lower, Lisa Perotti-Brown awarded the wine 96-98 points and noted “the alcohol comes in at 14.6%”.  Jeff Leve also awarded the wine 96-98 points.

Buyers may also consider the high scored 2010 (98) priced slightly under £2000 per case, however at a 50% discount lies the 2014 and 2012 vintages, albeit awarded slightly lower scores, at 95 and 94 points respectively.
