April saw Lafite Rothschild enjoy another strong month, again outperforming its First Growth siblings and pushing the Liv-ex indices to record highs.
Both the Liv-ex 100 Fine Wine and the Liv-ex Claret Chip were up considerably (6.1% and 8.5% respectively), but the Liv-ex Lafite Index beat them both, increasing 8.7% in just one month. The index - which consists of recent vintages of both Lafite Rothschild and Carruades de Lafite (2000 to 2006) - is now up 27% since the start of 2010, 82% year-on-year and a massive 515% over five years. Time for a switch?
