  • Vérité’s 2019 collection case has been released for £4,920 per 12×75.

  • This is the best-scored collection case released so far.

The 2019 vintages of Vérité La Joie, La Muse and Le Désir have been released through La Place de Bordeaux.

The three wines are being offered internationally for £4,920 per 12×75 (£1,230 per 3×75). The new release is the most expensive case of Vérité in the market, but also the best scored. See more pricing analysis below.

Critical analysis

Reviewing the three wines for The Wine Advocate, Erin Brooks rated La Muse and La Joie 99-points each and Le Désir 100-points.

She said that the latter offered ‘complex, layered flavours, soaring aromatics and very detailed expression’.

Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW (The Wine Independent) gave La Muse a score of 98+, and 100-points each to La Joie and Le Désir; the former of which she said had a ‘flashy and flamboyant nose’, while the latter ‘skyrockets from the glass’.

Fair Value

With two 99-point and one 100-point wine, this is the best-scored vintage collection of Vérité released so far.

Yet there is also clear value in back vintages. On an individual level, there are several back vintages of each wine which were scored 100-points that represent value versus today’s release.

Buyers looking for value might wish to look at the vintages 2012, 2013 and 2014, where the three wines received scores of 97-100 and are still available for under £3,000 per case.
