Batailley

Batailley 2019 has been released at £336 per 12×75, down 17.6% on the 2018 release (£408).

The 2019 received 95-96 points from James Suckling, who described it as “full-bodied, tight and powerful” and “classic”.

The wine also received 94 points from Jane Anson (Decanter), who commented that she’s “had a number of 2009 and 2010 vintages of Batailley recently that have totally sung at 10 years old and you can easily see that this vintage will deliver the same enjoyment”. Similarly, Jean-Marc Quarin awarded it 94 points. You can also watch the UGCB presentation of the 2019 Batailley here.

This year, the Pauillac is coming to the market at a price level comparable to the 2014 (NM 91) and the 2017 (NM 91+).

Buyers looking for value might also wish to consider the 2016 (NM 94), available at 16.1% premium.
