Liv-ex launches 2010 En Primeur pages

Today sees the launch of the Liv-ex En Primeur pages – a complete guide to the Bordeaux 2010 campaign. Rounding up all things en primeur in one convenient location, the pages provide comprehensive coverage of release prices, the latest scores, as well as news and views from a multitude of sources.

In addition to collating the critics' scores, we've taken coverage a step further this year by creating the Liv-ex Total Score – arguably the best measure of a wine’s performance in 2010. The rating represents the mean average score of all of the critics surveyed, among them Robert Parker, Jancis Robinson, Stephen Tanzer, Decanter, Neal Martin, Wine Spectator, and many more. The scores from critics who use a 20-point scale have been converted to a 100-point scale using the non-linear conversion table developed by World of Fine Wine Magazine (below). Where a score range has been provided, the mid-point of the range has been used for the calculation.

Of the 2010s reviewed so far, Margaux is the current favourite. (The table below shows the top ten as it stands today.) We'll be tracking the wines' ups and downs on the blog as more ratings are published and you can find the scores for the biggest names under the Critical Opinion tab.
