Château Ormes de Pez 2022 released En Primeur

  • Château Ormes de Pez 2022 has been released for £256 per 12×75.
  • Neal Martin rated the wine 92-94 points.
  • Buyers looking for value might want to consider the 2019 and 2020 vintages.

As part of this year’s Bordeaux En Primeur campaign, Château Ormes de Pez 2022 has been released at €21 per bottle ex-négociant, up 12.9% on the 2021 release (€18.60).

It is being offered by the international trade for £256 per 12×75, a 12.3% increase on the 2021’s opening price (£228 a case).

Although today’s release comes at a premium compared to previous vintages, production was down 40% compared to 2021, which may go some way in explaining the price increase. The 2022 is also potentially the highest scoring Ormes de Pez according to Neal Martin, who rated it 92-94 points.

Nevertheless, the 2019 and 2020 vintages look better value in relation to today’s release. See more pricing analysis below.
