Brane Cantenac 2015 has been released at €44.5 per bottle ex-negociant, up 41.3% on the 2014 release price of €31.5. It is being offered by the trade at £460 per 12×75. This is a 48.4% increase on the first offer price of the 2014 (£310).
The wine has received good scores from critics. Neal Martin said the wine was “very well-balanced” with “a long and persistent finish” and scored it 93-95 in-barrel. James Suckling gave the wine 93-94 points and noted its “dense” and “rich tannins”.
The wine is the best scoring vintage since the 95+ point 2010 and is available at a 23.3% discount. The 95-point 2009 may tempt buyers as it is available at a slight premium at £500.
