Pavie Macquin has been released at €40.8 per bottle ex-negociant, up 33.3% on 2013 (€30.6) and up 17.2% on 2012 (€34.8). It is being offered by UK merchants for £400 per 12×75, a lower or equal price to all back vintages previous to 2011. Neal Martin commented: “This is a fine Pavie-Macquin that should offer 10 to 15 years of pleasure, possibly more and I expect it will land at the top of my banded score.”
Beausejour Duffau also joined today’s releases. It came out at €54 per bottle ex-negociant, up 18.4% on 2013 (€45.6) and up 12.5% on 2012 (€48). Available for £525 per 12×75, it is the fourth most expensive of its recent vintages after the 2009, 2010 and 2005. The 2004 is available at below half the price of the most recent release and has a similar score.
