Bordeaux took a strong lead of the market this week, accounting for 42.9% of traded value. The 2022 vintage, beginning to trade more actively now, has pulled ahead as the top-traded vintage. Alongside Beychevelle and Carruades de Lafite (both appearing amongst the week’s top-traded wines), several vintages of Petrus changed hands.

Burgundy’s share of trade dipped from 27.8% last week to 22.6% this week. Domaine de la Romanee-Conti was by far the region’s top-traded producer, accounting for 42.5% of the region’s trade.

Following a few weeks of slow recovery, Champagne’s share of trade has again fallen, closing at 6.3%. Salon 1996 was the region’s top-traded wine by value, changing hands increasingly frequently as it returns to its pre-COVID upward trend.
