Critics’ scores

Neal Martin (Vinous) awarded the wine a score of 93-95 points. In his tasting note he mentions that ‘this is an excellent, quite “swarthy” Malartic that will age with style, though it will only repay the patient’.

James Suckling gave it a barrel range of 95-96 points. In his tasting note, he said that ‘this is very, very fine with wonderfully polished tannins that are silky in texture’. He added that it ‘could move up a notch with the elevage’.

Jean-Marc Quarin awarded it 95 points. He commented that it is ‘very aromatic in the middle’ and that ‘the wine evolves full and melting, with the unctuous grace of the vintage’.
