Critics’ scores

‘Fine but not quite as chiselled as others this year,’ said Neal Martin (Vinous) who gave it 88-90 points.

William Kelley (Wine Advocate) thought it was a ‘charming, subtle effort’ and scored it 89-91 points.

Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW (The Wine Independent) was firmer, with a score of 77-79 points. She found the palate ‘chewy and hollow in the middle, with a hard herbal finish’.

Fair Value analysis

Buyers looking at older vintages might consider the 2017 and 2014. Both wines have better scores from Martin – 91-points and 92-points respectively – and are available for under £300 a case.
