It’s approaching two months since the end of the anomalous Bordeaux 2019 En primeur campaign and the market remains active for the much-heralded vintage. Trade for this year’s campaign has been similar to that of 2015 and 2016 having bounced back from the slump seen in the 2017 and 2018 campaigns.

The most recent wine from the 2019 campaign to move hands was Beychevelle. Just yesterday, the wine traded at £663 per 12×75, slightly above its release price of £658, and the highest priced trade for the wine so far.

Additional wines that have seen movement are charted below. Chateau La Mission Haut Brion and Chateau Mouton Rothschild lead the way in performance having released down from 2018 24.8% and 29.8%, respectively. They are followed by Les Carmes Haut-Brion and Pontet Canet, who released at a 1.4% and 29.5% discount from 2018, respectively.

Chateau Trotanoy 2019, which Neal Martin scored just shy of a perfect score (97-99) and noted is quite simply, one of the best Pomerols…again” last traded 13.1% below London release price. Another one of Neal’s high scoring wines, Pape Clement 2019 (NM 96-98), last traded 20.3% below London release.

There are currently 55 Bordeaux 2019 wines with Offers and 93 with Bids. Attached are all active markets.
