Liv-ex Newsletter – May

By May 23, 2019Member updates

Welcome to the May 2019 Liv-ex newsletter
The pace of the Bordeaux 2018 campaign has started to pick up and around 40% of the major wines have now been released. So far, merchants have reported a narrow campaign with sales figures currently running at or just above the 2017 level but well below 2016. Our latest blog post takes a look at the campaign so far and how it compares to the last two vintages. As always, you can follow all the releases as they happen via our Bordeaux 2018 pages, here.

Did you know that you can sell En Primeur stock on Liv-ex? For more information on what is required, click here.

Liv-ex interview with Jeb Dunnuck
“Rating wines is like driving a car; the person in front of you is going too slow, and the person flying by you is crazy.”

Last week we published an interview with US wine critic, Jeb Dunnuck. Having recently published his verdict on Bordeaux 2018, Dunnuck kindly set some time aside to share his thought with us. In the interview, he talks about score inflation, the future of wine criticism and the regions exciting him today. You can read it here.
