This afternoon, the release of Beaucastel 2016 was announced. The wine is being offered by the trade at £480 per 12×75.
Wine Spectator’s James Molesworth has described Rhone 2016 as a “stellar vintage”. Comparing it to the acclaimed 2015, he suggests: “The younger vintage, 2016, has even more buzz. Producers are likening it to the classic 2010, with its powerful fruit but greater emphasis on structure and spine. ”
Beaucastel 2016 is yet to be scored by any of the major critics.
