Dom Perignon 2009 released

Dom Perignon 2009

Dom Perignon 2009 has been released in the UK at £1,130 per 12×75.

Antonio Galloni described the wine as a “gorgeous, totally seductive Champagne that will drink well right out of the gate” and awarded 94+ points. Jancis Robinson was also full of praise. She noted the wine had “lovely texture” and awarded it 18+ points.

As the chart shows, the 2009 has come to the market at a similar level as recent vintages. There is still an ample supply of these wines. Vintages older than and including the 2002, which are less readily available, are commanding higher prices. Collectors interested in the recent release may therefore require patience while waiting for their stock to appreciate in value.

Buyers looking for value might consider the 2003 vintage. The wine is six years older, volumes are beginning to dry up and it is available at a similar level to today’s release.
