The Liv-ex 100 has set a new record high, nudging up four points to 257.6 at the end of April. This represents a 1.5% increase on the month previously, a year-to-date increase of 7.4% and a year-on-year increase of 22.3%.
The yearly figure is the lowest it has been since January 2006 as some of the really big months of movement in 2007 fall off the back of the yearly calculation. Trade on the exchange itself was extremely heavy in April, up 137% on a year previously. For a full rundown on the market during April see the forthcoming Monthly Market Report.
