What about the 2006s?

With 2007 Bordeaux looking like a bit of damp squib (in every sense) and the price of the better 2005 Bordeaux wines prohibitive for many, we thought it would be worthwhile taking a look at the vintage sandwiched between them.

Given current exchange rates, many popular wines from 2006 are currently available at or below the original ex-negociant cost. Neal Martin is the only critic to have tasted the vintage twice and many wines have achieved upgrades (NM: April '07, NM2: February '08). Is the vintage a potential sleeper? We have highlighted some interesting possibilities below. All prices are in GBP for 12-bottle cases in-bond.
