Our goal is to remove barriers to trading by making the fine wine trading more transparent, efficient and safe for the benefit of our members and the market as a whole. The culture of the company is hard working, committed yet informal, energetic and action oriented.
If you are intellectually curious, financially trained/ orientated, articulate and fascinated by markets, if you have skills that would lend themselves to being an excellent ideas driven research analyst and have ambitions to be the pre-eminent expert on the fine wine market, then this opportunity is for you.
We are looking for someone who is (or has the potential to become) a research analyst (with a financial bent) in the fine wine market. The role will suit a candidate who already has some experience of generating financial, markets or economic analysis, ideas and insight from primary and other sources and an analytical mind-set to make the most of Liv-ex's market leading fine wine price data and other insights. An understanding of quantitative and fundamental analysis techniques and an ability to articulate ideas both verbally and in writing will be an advantage. A fascination with the fine wine market will also be useful but is not essential.
The research analyst will contribute to, develop and build upon Liv-ex's existing daily, weekly and monthly insights as well as more comprehensive reports on the fine wine market such as the “Liv-ex Power 100”, “The Liv-ex Classification” and the "Price Guide for Liv-ex Members". You will have responsibility for identifying money making ideas and trends and supporting this by researching the data, writing and updating reports, dealing with client queries, and working with Liv-ex's management, in-house data, marketing and sales teams. You may also visit clients or attend industry events on an ad-hoc basis to present key findings and insights.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
