LIVE Opportunities: 2018 Clos Apalta released on La Place

  • Autumn’s La Place de Bordeaux releases begin this week. 
  • The 2018 Clos Apalta was released this morning. 
  • Catena Zapata and Seña are also expected this week. 

The autumn series of releases from La Place de Bordeaux began this morning with the 2018 Clos Apalta from Casa Lapostolle. 

The Chilean wine has been launched at the same price as the 2017 – €69 per bottle. It has a score of 98-points from James Suckling who said it had “gorgeous length” with, fine tannins that are very fresh and refined”. 

A full look at the release will be published on Liv-ex today. 

World releases

South American wines will dominate the first La Place releases this week. Catena Zapata’s 2018 “Nicolàs” and Adrianna Vineyard “Mundus Bacillus” and Seña’s 2019 vintage are all expected, alongside the wines from Tuscan producer Bibi Graetz.
