Overall, critics have been impressed with this year’s Valandraud. James Suckling (94-95) commented on its “flavourful finish”, while James Molesworth (93-96) said the wine was “a terrific effort”. Roger Voss agreed that is was “impressively structured” and awarded a barrel range of 95-97 points.

Buyers looking for value might consider the 2012. Neal Martin scored the wine 95 points and described it as “quite stupendous”, adding that it “must stand as one of the best on the Right Bank”. It is currently available at a 21% discount to today’s release.
